Bike News 2016, seen At Interbike, Las Vegas
Interbike is one of the largest bicycle conventions in the world and every year in September Bike Attack Electric and crew travels up to Vegas to see and buy the most interesting products they can find. This year was certainly no exception, the halls were full of brands, bikes and products, products, products.
It's amazing how many new bikes, ebikes, parts, clothing and more the industry is able to invent and produce every year again.
We met great people, that we know for years, we met new ones that amazed and inspired us and we found the most interesting products you can think of.
We also won the prestigious award for "America's Best Bike Shops" again, just like in 2014. We are thankful and honored to be on the list of the best bike shops in the US and grateful to have such a wonderful team who made all this possible.
We met with Swiss brand Stromer and his CEO Thomas Binggeli for a great dinner, where we met 3 other electric bike dealers who are certainly among the best in the nation. We felt compelled and inspired by what they had to say and we learned a lot from all of them.
We also won the award of 'Best Electric Bike Dealer" by Easy Motion's Steve Lindenau who we admire and know since the beginning of Bike Attack in 1994 in Berlin, Germany, when he was still the head of Trek Europe.
But most of it we enjoyed to see the things we love the most: Bicycles and everything bike related, from the super high end to the most affordable.
Here are some of the products we brought back for 2016.
Litespeed Pinhoti XTR DI2, titanium mountain bike as it's best made in the USA. Probably the best bike we saw.
Bianchi Specialissima, one of the lightest road bikes ever made by Italian bike maker Bianchi, who is also the oldest bicycle maker in the world:
Stromer ST2S, the newest addition from Swiss ebike maker Stromer, with the design and complexity of the future. Fast, powerful and with all the bells and whistles you can think of:
New colorful and glossy lifestyle bikes from Bianchi and others, that are chic and lightweight and at the same time comfortable and easy to use:
Intense M16, limited edition based on world champion Shaun Palmers notorious downhill bike from the 90's:
A new affordable single speed electric bike by Easy Motion for under $1300.
And countless more great bikes from Marin, Norco, A2B, Dahon, Tern, Easy Motion, Linus, Felt, Scott, KHS, GT etc.
